Good news, I think?? But aren't the "techies" already anticipating a model above -- the '6208'??

The real techies are anticipating the 6408 (two tuner DVR) probably not due out for another year or so.

TravisC or 57-
From what I am hearing you say about the 2 tuner issue... Does this mean that the 6208 will not allow you to record one channel while watching another? Since you've used one Travis- can you answer this? Thanks |

I just bought the second-to-last-one at Visons on Broadway an hour ago, but apparently the software to get it running will not be available in Vancouver for at least another week or so. (I just posted on the "Shaw HD Decoder 5100 or 6200" thread). Any Vancouverites get their 6200 to work? |

57, I'll believe it when I see it. It makes some sense, but Motorola typically flogs the marketing on these things long before they see daylight, and I've never heard a whisper out of them about it. Time will tell, I guess.

My disappointment was greatly mitigated when I read here that the DVI is not enabled - that was the whole point in this purchase for me. |

...I wonder how many people will immediately start to regret purchasing their 6200 or hold off on the 6208 or etc... |

I picked up my 6200 last night at A&B on boundry and hastings, they had 3 or 4 left when i got mine. All the a&B's got them last night. My buddy got his at the marine drive store.
Got it activated last night. SoSo picture quality so far. The few HD programs look great on the DLP, but 98% of the programming looks the same to me. |
