Default Will Heroes be toast at the end of this year?

ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” was the number one-ranked primetime telecast on broadcast TV for Monday, November 24, 2008 with approximately 21.1 million average viewers. CBS’s “Two And A Half Men” and “CSI: Miami” rounded out the top three with approximately 15.0 and 14.3 million average viewers respectively.

Was reading the nelsen blog. Heroes was the 9th place show for Monday night this week with just 7.5 million viewers in the U.S.

I can't imagine NBC would keep what is likely a very expensive show to produce around with those kind of audience numbers.

I'm not surprised. This show used to one of my "must watch tonight" shows but since the 3rd episode of this season I have been recording and dumping to my external drive for future (if ever) viewing. It has fallen way down on my list of shows to catch up on.

I enjoyed the first two seasons, even though the second one started off slow. This season, which also started off slow, has been picking up speed...but my interest in it has been waning.

Ditto for me. I'm behind about six episodes right now. I plan to watch them in December when everything is in re-run though. The show just has too many characters with too many ridiculous super powers. It might be too late to fix now.

I don't mind shows that challenge you - make you think (like Lost). But I must admit that I can't figure out where Heroes is going. I've lost interest in almost all the characters - even Hiro. I think they lost the formula.

Ditto! Even sites that review shows are giving up on Heroes. I gave it my best shot, but had to stop watching after the 3rd episode from this season...I'm disappointed at the fact that they can't seem to get out of that slump. There's just too many characters, of which we know very little about.

They were on the right track during season 2 where they were keeping episodes lighter, only focusing on few characters...however, this season is back with trying to ram in too much per show, which makes it confusing for the audience.

Watch "Life"! Best show on TV right now...

We also used to look forward to Heroes every week and now it seems we are watching it out of habit. Not enjoying it as much.
I agree with the comment about Life. I would say this is my favorite show on TV right now. I want to get more people watching so it doesn't get cancelled!

Both it and Prison Break haven't been as good this year, as in the past. However, they were both very good on Monday. I hope they keep it past this year. The really need to simplify it again. They are getting way to many characters, and Hiro forgetting everything was just stupid.

One thing I'll never understand, Heroes is supposed to be about people with special powers, now they have lost them; Lost is supposed to be about people "lost" on an island, some have now left it; Prison Break is supposed to be about breaking out of prison, they escaped two seasons ago. Even the new 24 had nothing to do with US national security, even though it was a new episode.

And I thought I was the only one who felt this way about Heroes! My gf and I are 3-4 episdoes behind, and it's taking up room on the PVR. We just have zero interest in watching anymore, and could care less what happens to the once-beloved characters.

Actually, the formula is in two parts, plus a catalyst. Unfortunately, someone took off with one of the parts, the catalyst is unknown, and Tim Kring has absolutely no idea what to do with his last remaining part. Perhaps after Pushing Daisies wraps up and starts actually pushing up daisies, then Fuller can come back to Heroes and help clean up the mess. Then they will just need to re-find the catalyst.

Default The catalyst is ...

The catalyst is Claire Bennett (her blood I presume).

I still watch and enjoy Heroes every Monday

Perhaps they should move it to another night? Monday seems to be the THE night for tv watching these days.

jlet, you obviously didn't get my joke. I wasn't talking about the show. I was talking about the producers and writers (Kring and Fuller).

Ever since the strike, I just cant watch it anymore. Its too confusing. It started out great the first season. Unfortunately, I think this will be its last.
