We also have a sat. store in town...I get all my LNBs and switches from their. If he carries downconverters, do you know how much I should pay?

No-one should carry Downconverters, they are only supplied by Bell TV for use in Stacked System Buildings. The only "Official" way to obtain one is to Subscribe.

Anybody have the problem I have? I have 4 receivers (all 6131's) and on one of them I do not get tsn2 in hd. Doesn't show up in red, not on channel list at all. Did all the usual things to listed in this thread to get channel back but no luck. Spoke with Tech support and they said they will have to send a technician out to take a look. Signal is strong. Any ideas?

Waste of time rolling a Tech, it is a 99% certainty it is a programming issue. Try to have Bell remove ALL programming from that receiver, so all you see are the few barker Channels, then add them back.

Fix's 99% of these problems, when nothing else does.

2000gsr

I'm having the same TSN2 problem on my 6131.

TSN2 is showing on my 9231 and my 4100, no luck with my own web sync requests, and two phone calls to bell hasn't fixed it.

On 851 is says this is a subscription channel call bell. 401, 1401 and 851 do not appear in the guide at all on the 6131.

Not sure how long this has been going on, receiver has not been used for a few months, but was not unhooked.

I had bought a 9231 to replace a rented 9200 when the switch over happens, I had moved the 9131 aside and was using the 9231 for the last couple of months until I got my letter from Bell. Last Thursday night I call BEll and the 9200 gets removed, I move the 9231 to replace the 9200, slide the 6131 back in place (had not been unhooked) and TSN2 is missing.

Pinza

3 calls in, not fixed yet.

What is the best number to call, how do I get a competent tech on the line.

Thanks

Well if they have done what I suggested and it does not work, you need to push for a replacement Receiver.

No secrets for calling in, just keep calling.

Call #4 was successful.

Yes, they finally removed all programming and re-instated.

Thanks

I had my 3100 disconnected for awhile and when I plugged it back in last night I had my channels missing and it was showing the free previews only. I tried the receiver reset on the front and when it came back on it was stuck on downloading the sat signal. Now its stuck there and I can't get a signal. I have another receiver everything is OK??? Is this common or did the receiver just give out.

When you leave it unplugged the receiver looses the info about what channels you are subscribed to. You need to do a resync via the web site or over the phone. Or leave it plugged in connected to the dish and it will eventually regain the channels. Sometimes this can take a couple of weeks however.
You should be able to get the free channels after the reboot. Do a sat check via the menu 6, 1, 1, and do a check switch.

To reset the 3100, unplug it from the 120V, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, let it reboot.

Then go to the Signal Strength windoiw (Menu, 6 1 1) and do a Check Switch test.

To get the programming back, you can either call Bell 1-888-SKY-DISH or go to mybell.bell.ca

You can log in to their website, log yourself in to retrieve your acount information, go to TV SERVICE and click on VIEW DETAILS, go to Usage & Billing, and click on SYNCHRONIZE PROGRAMMING, and click on SYNCHRONIZE.

When you find it, click on it, and all the receivers attached to your account will receive a "hit".

For some reason it just will not acquire the signal. It is intermittent but just will not lock?? My other receiver is working fine so it must be an issue with the receiver??
