Your only choice will be whether you want just an HD box, or an HD box including a PVR so you can record shows. The latter obviously costs more.

velocci Thanks for the link, but it contains some pretty old STBs.
I'd suggest that you request either an SA4250HD (STB - which is not included in your link) or an SA8300HD (PVR) since they're the latest models - and yes you can usually request, or pick up from a Rogers outlet.

That is one to avoid - but you need to be specific when renting, and look at the box. If you just ask for a hidef PVR, they may give you whatever they have the most of in stock at that moment. I failed to actually read the box I was given, and didn't find out that I had the 8000 until I got home and opened the box. |

Before you pick up HD box, call up Rogers & tell them you recently purchased a new TV
They will ask you for a coupon number (just bs a bit trying to "find" it on your receipt) They dont really care as its only tracking to comp the store you bought tv from; they will give you a free HD box (12 months promo) or HD PVR (6 months) and the normal HD TV pack (12 months) |
