Default Firmware installed

via USB and so far no problems. I figured I should do it as the unit is still under warranty.

What audio problems are you experiencing? In my BD-P1600, I get occasional bursts of noise, when I'm using the remote. The audio is fine when actually playing the disk. This problem appears to have started when I updated the firmware a couple of months ago. The player connects via HDMI to my Sharp Aquos HDTV and from there via optical cable to my A/V receiver.

Now, if we could only get Samsung to do a firmware update on the UP5000, then I would be happy.

The good news is the Update worked and Crank2 finally played, no problem. The bad news is that was the worst movie i've seen in a long time.

I see that firmware 2.5 is out.

Does this support divx?

Default Firmware version 2.6 now available

New firmware out. I updated with USB and had no problems.

I just tried loading the Oct/10 2.9 firmware via USB. Now nothing plays. If I load a disc, the display shows CLOSE, but the player doesn't react to the play button. Any ideas?
