i have a sony hdtv, rogers hd terminal and a panasonic dvd hometheatre system. please explain how to set it up. i have RCA and component cables. i would like the sound from the rogers box to come through the dvd home theatre system (it would be under the AUX input i persume). i would be willing to buy different cables (digital or hdmi or anything) if you think its worth it. thanks for your help.
We need the exact makes and models of each piece of equipment you have. See the following post on cables & connections:
You'll probably have something like the following options, depending on the makes/models.
- STB to TV via HDMI or component video, either directly or "through" the HTiB.
- STB to HTiB via optical or coaxial or analogue audio depending on the HTiB.
- HTiB to TV via HDMI (or component video, depending on the HTiB)
Please see the Rogers Forums for many many threads on hook-up. If you have any additional questions please post into existing threads in the Rogers forum
