Last night takes the cake for product placement. There was an entire scene showing the "Intelligent Parking Assist" feature of the Prius. Bones and Booth both talked about how cool it was and Booth was so amazed he wondered if the car could solve crimes too. Sheeesh.

I don't mind subtle product placements, particularly if it ever would lead to fewer (or no) commercials as we see in many British shows.

It always annoyed me that they drank "Cola". Why not grab a Coke/Pepsi? Bottled water with the labels peeled off. Just silly. Pay the %^& royalties or get them to sponsor the episode.

Pushing the products though is another story. It is worse than commercials as it take time away from the actual show, which is only 43 minutes to begin with. One idea I've seen used is to have the actors in the show do a commercial first thing in the break. It takes you a couple of seconds to realise it isn't part of the show.

Are people really that gullible though? I wouldn't buy a car just because "Bones" had one. Besides, they make it such an obvious PP that you know its just marketing and they paid to have it part of the episode.

Honestly I think we'll begin to see this type of advertising creep more and more into everything we watch...why...simply because the ad companies are scrambling to respond to the amount of pvr's fast forwarding thru most of their commercials...and this way they have a captive audience.

Just like the inside door of a public restroom...I really don't get why it isn't covered in ads...just like over the urinals are now...as they have got you for a moment in time...and you really have no choice but to read their ad.

Some one as smart as Bones should be able to parallel park a Prius.

The Focus has this feature too.

Anyone who can't parallel park a small car like a Prius or a Focus should not have a licence!!
