Yesterday I noticed that all of my reminders were 1 hour earlier than they should be, but the IPG had the correct time.
Seems like the hardware still thought it was using the old date for the end of daylight savings time but the guide was correct. I thought they fixed this problem already. |

You can't tell what's happening until after the change. The reminders and recordings scheduled for after the time-change sometimes show "weirdly" until after the actual time change. I'm not saying they're going to get it right, but you can't tell until the day of the change.
Or are you talking about a reminder for this week? My one reminder timer worked fine last night and shows correctly in my timers. You'll notice that the IPG has two listings at 1AM Sunday - in anticipation of the time change.

It was reminders for this week. They are all 1 hour earlier than they should be.
For example, the reminder for tonights CSI: Miami is showing 9 PM instead of 10 PM. I reset them yesterday, but had to reboot the PVR to get it to see the enclosure. They went back to the old values. |

I guess the Hardware is still working off the old rules for D.S.T. since that should have happened on Saturday

hmm, mine was a daily reminder for CTV news at 11PM. I wonder why yours got screwed up while mine is OK. Perhaps the difference between daily and weekly? Hardware doesn't do anything without the firmware, but perhaps the firmware for (some) reminders is incorrect, while the IPG issues we had years ago is now fine.

Well for Spring Ahead my box is still reading Daylight Savings Time - 1 hr late. I tried powering down and up yet still reads DST. It's one of the old standard STB on a spare TV. Any ideas?

Did you unplug the STB for a minute, plug it back in and wait for it to reboot? If so and the time is still off, then you'll need to call Rogers. No one else has reported an issue. I assume your clock is on Standard time not DST as you stated.

Yes - I did power down and thus it rebooted. And yes, standard time - 1 hr behind. I unplugged it and will leave off for a few hours and try again.

Perhaps there is something upstream of the STB like a poor splitter or something that's preventing the signal from the STB getting back to the head end and that may be fouling things up. What's your signal strength and S/N Ratio?

I had the same problem with Rogers NB and my DCT 6208 box on the weekend
I did notice this morning that it had finally been updated for DST and showing the correct time. |

Well, it appears Rogers still hasn't got the daylight savings time thing right yet (shades of Y2K16 rookies). I have an 8300 HD PVR that has had time blocks (unchanged) for almost 3 years, no problem. This year all seemed fine, then I had to rearrange some hardware and so had to re-boot. I didn't think anything of it when my PVR wanted to block me at 1:00AM instead of 2:00AM, after all it was only one day after the change. A few days later I noticed I was being prompted at 12:00AM, weird ... then a few days later at 11:00PM. I checked the time block and saw it set as 11:00PM to 3:00AM (originally it was 2:00AM to 6:00AM), since I had reorganized equipment more than once in the interim I tried another experiment, I pulled the plug to force a reboot, and sure enough the time block came forward another hour to 10:00PM.
I contacted Rogers and their response was the obvious one "it's the box". I advised the rep they were full of it, why would it work for 2+ years and then stop. As I suggested to him, I have since manually reset the time and I'm guessing it will be fine until the fall when DST reverts. My biggest problem is that there is no disclosure as to the contents of any firmware upgrades our boxes receive, indeed there is no notification of any kind. Earlier this year I lost many HD recordings when the "new menu" system was introduced, Rogers' response ... "couldn't happen, that was only the menus". Even their own help doesn't know (maybe for good reason) the software updates in each package. I know that the compression algorithm changed and that there was a re-org of my internal and external hard drive when that "new menu" system was introduced. All in all, a really sloppy monopoly !!! I had a reminder timer for CTV-HD at 11PM that I had to change again this year - I believe this has happened often for reminders (not recordings). I had to change the reminder again this week for some reason since it changed again. Also, some of my timeslot recordings didn't work properly, but did seem to after a couple of cold reboots...
I also noticed that the Powersave function started at about 12:10 AM instead of 1:10 AM just before the time change, but seems OK now.... Since things "mostly" work OK now, I just put it down to the "stuff happens" category and don't get upset about it any more.

I guess my previous post gave too much credit to Rogers. As I suggested, yesterday I manually changed the time block to its previous 2:00 AM - 6:00AM, today I did another reboot and the block moved to 1:00AM - 5:00AM. Only difference this time is that I also once again lost my external hard drive, no power downs or anything else, it's like any time there is a "glitch" with the box and its software the hard drive is the first to be dumped.

My recordings of The Pacific on HBO were set up to start recording 2 minutes before it starts and 2 minutes after it ends, just in case. After the time change, the PVR changed the settings to record 25 minutes only. Weird.
