What a great joke you can play on someone right now. Tell them to order the Green Channel, a digital cable channel. This can still be ordered, and guess what - you get exactly what you asked for. Tune in - for a green screen! Yes, that's right, a green screen, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I think it's a bit overpriced for what you get though ;)
Seriously, I have some questions: 1) Is this company still receiving fees from Rogers? 2) Is Rogers still charging people for the Green Channel (I don't know because I have one of the bundles that has all the digital channels). Let me know about this because I'd like to apply for a refund for the past three months of non-programming for the Green Channel. 3) Is there really truth to the rumor that they had some sort of catastrophic technical failure and they are working around the clock to get it fixed (very far fetched in my opinion), or do you think it is really the case that this company just ran out of money, all the employees were laid off, and there is simply no signal left. I can't wait for the launch of the blue channel, and maybe the red channel.

you dont honestly expect a refund for 1 channel when all are provided to you anyways! its not like the cost went up when the additional specialty channels where made available to you!
lets see here. all channels at about $37 a month. 37/64= 0.58/mth please dont tell me you are one of those people who will demand a credit in the aprox amount of $1.50 for the last 3 months. if your on a VIP ultimate package that includes all the specialty channel, don't expect a credit because a channel goes off the air do to technical trouble on the broadcast side or bankruptcy, not like its Rogers, Cogeco's, or ExpressVu's, *C's fault, well maybe WTSN we can blame on expressvu since they do own CTV. |

The Green Channel is currently haveing mechanicial problems at the broadcast center.
They were going have it fixed, but it has ended up longer. You will probaly get a credit for 3 months or more or untill they come back online. Yes they still get fees from Rogers.

Well, I wrote to them to ask them what was going on....
And...to my suprise....I actually got a response!! (-- Names have been removed to protect the innocent --) Dear <removed name> Thank you for your note. The green channel is still working to close on financing that will put it back on air. You should request a reimbursement from Cogeco for the months that you have been unable to receive the channel. They do not pay us for these months off air, so you should not have to pay them. We expect to be back on air within the next two weeks. We really hope it will be a green Christmas. Sincerely Linda Rankin I hate to say it but...SMCKINNON24 is right But...it is a financial situation that is causing them not to broadcast...not a "mechanical" failure... |

Well, they've got nothing else to do
I think they're being overly optimistic. If they can't afford to get on the air after a technical problem, they're going to have a hard time staying on the air at all, that is if anyone is foolish enough to actually finance them (again). |
