Default Release dates in Canada

Hi,
My apologies if this has been covered before, but I could not find an answer doing a search.

Is there a site or a list somewhere that has the Canadian release dates for blu-ray movies ? I am new to blu-ray and have driven to the store twice now to purchase a movie and find out that it was not released in Canada yet.

For example Elf (My next purchase) is coming out on October 28th, according to Blu-ray.com.... but I am not driving to the store this time until I find a Canadian conformation.

Thanks

CamG

99% of all movies have the same release date.

You may want to check the release date via an online retailer for confirmation or ask here if you have a specific title in mind.

ELF comes out on 11/11 from Alliance home video.

Like James said, check on online retailer... it seems Amazon.ca does know what they're talking about after all.

While I'm not a fan of this trend of Alliance taking longer to release a BD, I do like these Canadian exclusive releases we're currently getting.

Really ?
BD.com has Elf listed for October 28th by New Line Cinema.

That's the U.S. date/distrubuter.

I thought New Line recently broke all its distribution ties to Alliance and that their films would be distributed directly through their parent company Warner Bros.

Alliance will continue to release all New Line titles until late 2008. The contract was already set to expire at the end of the year so there was simply no need to sign a new one.
