Problem activating (Used, outside) Motorola 6208 (Resolved)

I got a used Motorola 6208 and cant seem to get it to work with Novus.

tech came in, went through dL process, everything seemed fine, he got the unit flashed by Novus however i am still stuck on channel 0

He claims that there is something wrong with the box but does not know for sure, everything seems to be working, i am not sure what to check for on the diagnostics page..

Any ideas?

Questions:

1. Did you purchase this from a Novus customer or from "outside".

2. Did you check with Novus whether they'd authorize an "outside" STB.

Most cable providers will not authorize outside STBs. Here's the thread on Shaw who did, but no longer do:

Yes they do allow outside boxes..

I will take a look at those treads..
