Does anyone have a good Tomato QoS guide for VOIP? I've looked around and haven't seen much, but I do remember a decent guide I used on my last router. Figures I didn't save the link...

Try the Toastman guide at:
http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php...ing-qos.28349/ The guide isn't specific to VoiP, but explains the QoS setup well. (I assign the VoIP ATA MAC addresses to the "High" class and make sure none of the other classes can saturate the bandwidth using the guidelines found in this article.) |

If no answer at our house, I would like to provide the caller with the option to leave a voicemail to individual family members and then have the voicemail system email that message to the specific family member's e-mail address. Since there is one DID account and I would like all phones in the house to ring for x number of rings and then play the message to "To leave a message for John, press 1, to leave a message for Sarah press 2 ..........." etc.
I would prefer not to create an extension option when answering cause that will be confusing to the caller when he/she calls, select the option to speak to Sarah and John pics up (or even worse ask for Sarah and Mary picks up and the caller thinks he/she is speaking to Sarah I searched a bit through this thread and saw a post or two that hinted that this could be possible, but it is not clear on the how to. Any pointers? PS: My porting has been completed earlier this week and what a relaxation that my blocking list was already 100% effective, not a single pestering call came through, only calls from friends and organizations willing to ID themselves. This alone made the switch worth while |

My porting was completed earlier this week and I have since received a couple of calls from Bell, but was not at home at the time. They did not leave a message either. Has anyone else received calls from Bell after the porting? What is there to discuss?

What I did for voice mail was the following
1) Created multiple voip.ms mailboxes 2) Record and upload the recording that will play within the IVR script 3) Created an IVR script that plays a recording, then, directs calls to individual mail boxes (0 -> main mail box, 1 -> my mail box, 2 -> wife's mail box, i or t -> main mail box) 3) Associate IVR with DID's no answer, busy, and unreachable actopms 4) Record and upload the recording All done |

Bell is attempting already to woo you back to them... Expect a few calls, and even some directed Canada Post mails to you

Thank you PeterT. That was easy once I noticed the [Additional Fail Over Options] click option on the Manage DID screen

Telephone is dead this AM. Recycled the power but no joy. Cannot get access to voip.ms' website either. (while I am typing here) Anyone else experienced this?
Edit: Telephone is now alive, connecting to www.voip.ms still fails. Edit 2: I noted yesterday that two incoming calls (about 45 minutes apart) were registered on my voip.ms account but did not registered on any of the caller ID devices in my house. I guess that there was some issue between the internet and my PAP2T? |

Yeah, just tried connecting to the site and cannot connect either. I'm not home, so I cannot verify if the service is alive, but my phone was registered when I left otherwise I would see a RED light on my Aastra phone.
Pinging voip.ms does return: 174.132.203.114 |

My phones are working too, but I cannot get onto the VoIP.ms website. It just hangs.
