Finally caught the last 35 mins (what kinda show is 95 mins long?!). Agreed with hockeymancw...loved the concept, disliked the execution, but I'm willing to attribute that to it being a pilot episode. Maybe they tried to throw in too many ideas & explanations into one episode, and the result was a very rushed feeling to the events. It left me intrigued enough to keep watching it.

Its a special pilot, it was 60 mins on the dvd screener i watched (I believe), that's why its 95 - added in commercials.
I saw the dvdscreener a couple months ago and thought it was great. watching it in HD was even better.. unfortunately I have to pick between the lesser of two evils: Fox (WUTV) with their sub-par HD - lots of noise/etc for most shows, or CTV (CFTO) with their sub-par blacks - everything was brighter and white-washed looking. As for the show.. I thought it was alright, but I'm going to have to watch another episode or two to see if I'm going to enjoy it or not. |

Glad to read that I wasn't the only one who noticed terrible black levels. At first I thought my roommate had mucked up my settings! Hope they get that under control, and quick. The show, while short on suspension of disbelief, is fun and is a visual treat.
cheers, supervij

I liked the pilot episode. Doesn't have me hooked yet, but I'm interested to see where it's going to go from here.

Missed the first 20 minutes or so. Has its flaws of course, but no show is perfect. Casting is not one of the flaws, and the characters are interesting (as mentioned earlier, the scientist is particularly entertaining). Looking forward to the next episode to see how the story develops. Hopefully it can build off a decent pilot.

I finally got to watch the show today. Towards the end it starting looking a bit like Lost, with a lot of questions and no answers. I like it a lot. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but they play the same music (sound?) going in to break, as Lost does when something important happened or is about to happen.

The opening credits and intro music are directly derivative of the X-Files in the same way that Medium's are. The incidental music is definitely X-Files-ish, and I agree about the Lost style of commercial throws.

Does the show's theme have a similar rhythm to Ciara's song "Like A Boy". ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFRuUJR4LPI )

So? I'll still watch after tonight. The beginning tonight was totally AWESOME!! But then it got totally unbelievable. But I guess that's where they're going with it. Leave all reality behind when you tune in. Definitely more questions than answers.
