If Peter never existed, then what is going to happen to the baby? He/she shouldn't exist either.

Without the baby Walternate couldn't have the DNA to activate the doomsday machine on the other side. Which means Peter never would have gotten into the machine on this side... Which means he wouldn't have disappeared...

And without Peter, Walter would've never gone to the other side to kidnap him which started this whole mess. So this whole idea of "He never existed" is very weak.

Hmm, but if Walter never had to break into the other universe to steal Peter, then both universes are back on track and safe.....perhaps that's what the Others were trying to accomplish the whole time.

So everything chronicled since the first episode of Fringe never really happened

And yet they're left with this room that bridges both worlds and one Walter really hate the other. It's not like nothing happened.

Or perhaps the knowledge is only retained in that room, and just until anyone leaves. Once someone leaves the room, boom! Back to his/her original universe with no knowledge of Peter or the Machine, and thus two safe universes (universii?). That doesn't answer the question of what the Observer meant by "never existed". So far, I haven't been particularly disappointed by how such questions have been resolved, so I'm looking forward to next season! Fringe has filled a gap left by X-Files for me.

A room created by someone that never existed. Therefore shouldn't there be a room at all?

Obviously the story isn't over yet. Got great hopes for S4.

They need to explain the whole Olivia not knowing Peter thing despite meeting as kids in "Subject 13".

....but they never indicated WHY Peter never existed!

The changes made were all in the present. They only talked about disassemblling the machine and burying the parts in the far distant past, but that has not happened yet. Nothing in the story line indicated a change to the past that would eliminate Peter.

Also - if they take the machine apart and bury the pieces in the past, then dig up the parts and put them together - when does anyone actually MANUFACTURE the machine parts? It seems like a closed loop of stuff that was never made......

In Fall 2011, will FOX still have Fringe encore on Saturday at 23:00? There will be new show called Grimm in the same Friday timeslot that I think may be interested. And of course, every Friday night is CFL's Friday Night Football.
