Default Discovery Channel (US & Canada) showing eclipse

TORONTO - A live solar eclipse, the first to be seen by human eyes in Antarctica, will be broadcast in high-definition by Discovery Channel on November 23.

No word if the Disovery HD Theater will show it in the USA.

update: now available in the USA.

it'll be better than being there!
(less cold. and HDTV has higher resolution than real life)

Silver Spring, Md. - Discovery HD Theater will air the only live high-definition broadcast in the United States of the first total solar eclipse seen by humans in Antarctica, Sunday, Nov. 23 from 5-7 PM ET.

They sure did, NHK spent $7 million to do this. Isn't it the first time humans have ever seen this from antartica? I know one of the people interviewed by DC Canada who were on a ship on a ice shelf was one of the first to see a solar eclipse from all 7 contenents.

It looked fantastic, the scenery and at totality. Amazing.

It can't be when hell freezes over because antarctica is hell so we've already seen that.... :wink:
