TORONTO - A live solar eclipse, the first to be seen by human eyes in Antarctica, will be broadcast in high-definition by Discovery Channel on November 23.
No word if the Disovery HD Theater will show it in the USA. update: now available in the USA. |

They sure did, NHK spent $7 million to do this. Isn't it the first time humans have ever seen this from antartica? I know one of the people interviewed by DC Canada who were on a ship on a ice shelf was one of the first to see a solar eclipse from all 7 contenents.
It looked fantastic, the scenery and at totality. Amazing. |
