Default vacation. recording a show more than a week from now?

Is that possible ....

for instance I want to record The Office on Sept 25 but I will have left on sept 13

I've tried the scrolling to future dates but thats only a week ..... is there a way I can record "whatever" at 930 on nbc two weeks in advance ?

Thanks for any advice tips

What you can do is setup a manual recording, where you specify the date/time and channel. If you are certain about the schedule, this will work ok.

Once the program starts, setting up a "record all episodes.." works well for vacations, and just convenience.

What Larry says about manual recordings allows you to record up to 2 weeks out. If you need longer than that, even if you only want one time, set the record time for 2 weeks out and set it to record "weekly" (each Tuesday for example at a certain time), this will then record 1, 2 or more programmes (until you get back) and you can discard as necessary when you get back. Obviously, this will work if you want to view all the programmes. If you're short on recording space, record the SD channel - takes up 1/5th the room.

(I actually keep my VCR around for this eventuality - it allows me to record up to a year out)

PS. I like the way that manual recordings now have "information" associated with them when you get back. Years ago the manual recordings had no info, so you had to remember why you recorded at a specific time, or access the programme. This comes up when you press the info button regarding a programme in the recorded list.
