Just got an email back from Super Channel and here is the contents of the email below in quotes.

So it seems Eastlink starts airing super channel this friday.

That's good, but I'm sure it won't be added to the newer part of Eastlink anytime soon.....

Are there any users from Eastlink here? I mean nobody posts anything here hardly at all while "ALL" the other providers threads are booming with topics/discussions. Come on guys and start posting experiences and stuff about Eastlink. I'm sure a lot of the other customers of other providers would like to read some things on Eastlink as well, Start posting lol. This place is dead.

Interesting. Sucks that it won't be included with the regular movie package. Anyone get these channels elsewhere? If so, how is it?

I have no idea about the freeview but IMO it would pretty stupid to add it, and expect people to plunk down an extra $15/month for channels that they've never seen a minute of. Don't most channels have a preview, even for only a month?

When Rogers got Super Channel here in New Brunswick, after a few weeks, we had a special preview channel set up for a while, and later, a month long HD free preview that was unannounced until it had begun. Eastlink will probably give a free preview at some point but maybe not from day 1.

Don't you love these cable providers that keep things so tight lipped like it's a matter of national security or something. It always amazes me as to why these things are so secretive . As paying customers too these providers they should really be keeping us up to date on these things not keep them a secret like it's a matter of life and death.

There was a message this morning on my set top box saying that the Super Channel will be on free view all August, and it is channel 685 and is the HD version, there are also channels 221-224 on freeview from Aug 1st to 17th. Kinda weird how they jumped right to 685, I guess they'll have to fill all those empty channels with more HD

yeah there was a bunch of messages on the box this morning, super channel free preview 221-224 aug 1-17 and schd 685 free preview from aug 1-30th. Why is the HD channel on all month and not the regular channels is strange to me.

I didn't get that message on my box this morning, just notices for Discovery Kids and a Fishing channel.

Are the channels up yet for you?

I got the messages, but the channels aren't up yet. I think they'll be up tomorrow.

nope not up yet here in halifax, probably will be midnight tonight, theres not even any sign of them on the box menus, you would think at least they would have them on the box menus as not authorized but there nowhere to be seen, usually they put the channels on ahead of time but are not autherized message is up but theres nothing at all. there certainly leaving it to the very last second arnt they lol
