Background: Currently I have the Standard Def. Rogers digital cable box connected to my new HD LCD TV.
I would like to get the HDTV Cable box, but I would like to know which is the better route: renting one from Rogers or purchasing one from Future Shop or another retailer. What is holding me back from purchasing one, is that I am unclear of what happens if I need to return it. In under the one year that I have had the regular cable box I have had to return it to Rogers for a different one because it stopped working one day after a power outage. I presume it got fried - despite being plugged into a surge protector. So if something similar happens to the HD cable box, can I just exchange it at a Rogers store as well or do I have to take it back to FS? Also, would I have to worry about purchasing an extended warranty? Thanks for your help. |

I may be wrong but I believe the buy or rent has been discussed many times. Try a search in DHC. Good luck.
