I have been burning discs from my 530. I use a Samsung DVD recorder. I have had problems finalizing some discs and also experienced some discs with errors problems. I use composite cables connected to the DVD burner. Seems to me this only occurs when I have a DVI/HDMI plugged into the Sony LCD television set. When I disconnect the HDMI cable the recordings seem to work ok. Common sense tells me that it should not affect the recorder because that is not the connection being used. This problem also occured when I had an LG recorder to. Does anyone have any idea if the HDMI?DVI cable is the culprit
Thanks Lester |

Although it should not happen, yes, it is the culprit with certain STB/Recorders/programmes. In order to have reliable recording, use the component video cables.

Thank you so much 57 for enlightening me. I suspected strongly that this was the case but it did not seem to make sense that another connection would affect the recorder.
thanks again Lester |
