Default NASCAR Race on TSN

I am trying to watch the Daytona race tonight, but I'm getting annoyed at TSN for jumping to commercial in mid sentences. TNT is showing the race with no to limited commercials, so when TSN goes to commercial there is NO consistency and when they come back I missed parts of the race and don't know what happened. Is this a violation of some CRTC rule, by TSN not showing the race "as is"?

I've given up. I'll pvr it and watch it tomorrow with my own editing. This is disgusting! Congratulations TSN.

Default This is sickening

TSN's coverage of tonight's race is sickening. If they are going to show the race, they need to work with the station in the U.S. broadcasting the race so that the fans can enjoy watching it.

Thanks TSN for making auto racing very painful to watch in Canada.

Try watching Boxing on TSN. HBO has no commercials so you get the general idea.

It's too bad they can't / won't sync the commercials.

I can almost understand some issues if the event is live. Lately TSN has shown a number of auto races delayed (IRL), but with breaks in very odd places, or even the start of the programme missing - starting just before the drop of the flag with no introductions, etc. Very sad editing and no respect for viewers.

"Wide Open Coverage" by TNT was hardly wide open. They would arbitrarily stick a bottom of the screen commercial at a moments notice and TSN just did a poor job of trying to match commercial time. TNTalso had, what they called "local station time for 75 seconds". I do NOT like the garbage way TNT does the races and we got even a worse mess from TSN.
Thank goodness for FOX and ABC. TNT only has 6 races, so next week's Chicago race will be their last.

I usually don't mind TNT's coverage of NASCAR. The scorebar was very annoying this evening, I prefer it small and at the top of the screen. TSN ruined the broadcast though. As soon as the commentators mentioned "This part of NASCAR Wide Open on TNT is brought to you by Coca Cola" or something like that TSN would jump to commercials for a couple minutes, then come back. They did get better by the last 50 laps or so though. I also noticed they covered up TNT's logo with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series logo. Both them and Sportsnet used to do this; however, TSN never does it anymore.

TSN's coverage of the ATP Masters Series is the worst though. They always try to fit the matches, including the final, into 90 minutes on tape delay. Obviously a final involving the top players in the world usually goes for more than two hours. I remember a Nadal-Federer final, at Monte Carlo maybe, that they tried to fit into 90 minutes this year. They skipped the first set and joined the second one halfway through.

And don't forget about randomly cutting out 20-30 laps of racing with absolutely no explanation of what transpired or why there are new leaders and the old leaders are out of the race!

After watching the Hotpass coverage this year (especially now that is in HD on Rogers), I find it really hard to watch the regular coverage with so many commercial breaks.
