Default Duplication of Channels

Why are the channels 2 through 80 duplicated in the 900 range?
Channel 5 is duplicated as channel 905, etc.
Last night all of my series recordings in the 900 range were changed.
For exemple my 915 series recording was changed to the same program but it was channel 15.
I am in Windsor.

This would be because your area is upgraded to digital.

The channels starting at 2 are digital, and the analog versions of these channels have been mapped to the 9xx range.

It was the same with Rogers a few years ago when all channels became available digitally. Don't be surprised if in a little while the 900 series channels "disappear" from the map. The analogue channels will still be there for analogue devices, however, they may no longer appear on the STB. See the following similar discusion on Rogers:

Also if you have a DCT700, DCT3080 or DCT3416, the channels in the 900 range will not appear as these STB's only have a digital QAM tuner.

I live in Milton, I was told by Cogeco the 9xx were digital.

Which is right?

The 900's are analogue, I picked up the new Pace PVR the other day, and the 900's are gone as the box is all digital.
