It looks like fiber to the home, versus to the node (last mile).

More Bandwidth to the home user??

Well, initially we're using it in a few industrial areas (financed in conjunction with regional and provincial government). However, next time we're faced with a greenfield residential development, we'll probably build it purely FTTH. The ugly pill to swallow here is doing a rebuild in existing areas to go to FTTH, that won't be fun.

So are you running totally IPTV, as that press release seems to state, or normal digital QAM cable in the premesis (like FIOS)? I would hope the latter, as you get (or can get) cablecard support.
