Default Victim Tasered and Set on Fire By Hamilton Police

Quote:
THE CANADIAN PRESS
HAMILTON — A Hamilton man Tasered by police was in hospital Friday with burns after the stun gun ignited something flammable in his pants.
The incident is being reviewed by Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, which probes all police-related deaths and serious injuries.
SIU spokesman Frank Phillips says three officers went to an east-end apartment after receiving a call about a disturbance Thursday night.
Officials say an altercation ensued and an officer shot the man with a Taser, which ignited a “flammable object” in the man’s waistband.
The SIU didn’t identify the flammable object.
The 31-year-old man received burns on his hand and thigh, and he was taken to Hamilton General Hospital for treatment.

An unfortunate incident, that I'm sure will add to the ban Taser's movement
Hopefully his burns aren't serious, and I also hope the Police were justified in their use of the Taser
