Hey guys, i just replaced my samsung 52 65 a few weeks ago with the new 650 and i have been noticing that my tv just randomly turns off? i think its a reseting issue. Has any one had these problems yet? i had the 65 series for a year with no problems at all. If there are problems which tv would be suggest for me to buy. XBR4?81Series?750?

there is a firmware update on the samsung website that supposedly fixes this issue for your set... you should try and download it and hopefully everything works out. good luck!

I DONT KNOW, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR REVIEWS EVERYWHERE. SEEMS LIKE NOBODY HAS THE TV YET,Besides the reseting problem i have to say its one of the best tvs i have ever seen. I actually work at best buy and compare them all day and the blacks and colors on the set are insane. The response time is stunning and the automotion is perfect.make video games look insane. The only other tv i have seen this great was the pioneer elite.

I was in Futureshop today and they had just put out the 750 series... mostly same specs as 650 from what I understand... It looked amazing and the colours were beautiful.
I also liked the gloss on the screen... It made the picture more real but wasn't over the top like when they first started having them. I could not notice any real glare in the brightly lit store. I'm very impressed and will probably be looking at the 650 series this summer... too bad the 52 will be a little big and out of my price range |

I've been trying to decide between the 52" 650 or 750.
From what I've read, they're pretty much the same panel and features, except the 750 has the DLNA/multimedia features, which does sound interesting, since I have a HTPC setup currently, and would be curious as to how many formats you can stream to the LCD. I have seen some good examples of the 120hz AMP processing in-store, but I don't know if its something that I'll end up turning off, and should therefore just get a 550/530, and save $$$. p. |

I have been looking at the 750 as well, here is what I found on the differences between the 650 and 750 series. If you have any others or I made a mistake, please add them to the list:
750 has an integrated woofer 16-bit processor vs. 12-bit in 650 (10-bit panel in both) 750 has DLNA features (can stream audio/video/etc. over a home network) 750 can play video off of DLNA/USB flash drive. 650 limited to images/audio 750 comes with 1GB internal flash memory pre-loaded with HD pictures, games, recipes, and a few other things 750 has a square bezel compared to the 650's rounded bezel 750 has a square stand compared to the 650's oval stand 750 stand does not swivel (contrary to Samsung's literature) |

I am thinking to buy Samsung LN52A650. however, wondering wether I can use HD15 Male/Male UXGA cable to hook the HDTV with my Dell D600 laptop. I noticed that the TV only D-SUB pc-input and 2 Component input. Which port should I use to connect my laptop and what resolution can I get ?
2) any suggestions on Samsung LN52A650 ? |

While waiting for a specific response, check out the following thread on HDTVs as PC monitors.

got alternative from web. instead of VGA cable, I can use DELL station dock which has DVI output. by using DVI-HDMI cable, I may get better resolution.

I want to buy a TV soon. I saw two Samsung models i really liked. 46A540 ($2299) and the other is 46A650 (which is $2799).That is $500 difference between them. Is it worth to pay $500 more just “Motion plus 120Hz”? I know 540 has 35000:1 Contrast ratio and 650 has 50000:1 ratio but i don’t see huge difference on that. I liked the 650 one (the looks), but that doesn’t mean anything to me. My question is.
-Is there any huge performance difference between those two TVs? -Does 650 worth that much money? -Does 120Hz make huge difference? I know i will end up one of these two but don't want to pay $500 just because small difference or am i missing a bigger picture here?. |
