On the heels of the official annoucement of Rock Band 2, and assurances that all existing and future DLC will be compatible for both versions of the game (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/885/885168p1.html) comes news about The Who's DLC.
Whatever happened to Who's Next being the first full album DLC? Someone stole some of the master tapes! http://kotaku.com/5014229/boo+hoos-for-the-who Harmonix is trying to make it up to it's customers with a 12 song "best of" pack of original master recordings by The Who: http://kotaku.com/5020682/massive-do...band-july-15th It sounds like "Baba O'Reilly" can't be included. Can you really call it a "Best Of" whithout that track?

Searching around for info about the new DLC, I found mention of a Game Informer "rumour" column that says Moving Pictures would be the next DLC album release.
That would be, to quote Cartman, freakin' sweet.

Some of the songs for RB2 have surfaced. Here's my take.
Good Songs: * "Man in the Box" - Alice in Chains * "American Woman" - The Guess Who? (or Lenny Kravitz) [better NOT be Kravitz!] * "White Wedding" - Billy Idol [awesome!] * "Aqua Lung" - Jethro Tull * "Bad Reputation" - Joan Jett * "One Step Closer" - Linkin Park * "Peace Sells" - Megadeth * "Testify" - Rage Against The Machine * "Spoonman" - Soundgarden * "Chop Suey" - System of a Down * "Give It Away" - Red Hot Chili Peppers [finally a good bass song!] * "Everlong" - Foo Fighters * "Ace of Spades" – Motorhead [awesome!] * "Any Way You Want It" - Journey * "Pinball Wizard" - The Who Meh Songs: * "We Got The Beat" - The Go Go * "You Oughta Know" - Alanis Morissette * "Hello There" - Cheap Trick * "Kids in America" - Kim Wilde * "Panic Attack" - Dream Theater (or Finger Eleven)

I am guessing no, as they are supposedly the set list songs. Any further DLC you could use, but I think you'll end up buying the disc to play these ones. That seems to be the way it is for these kinds of games.

Ahh, I guess I'll be buying the game then.
Such a good sign to see more Foo Fighters...now if they would do a couple of Foo packs on DLC I would be very very happy. |
