Ok I thought Shaw changed it because the DCT700 was working the same as the Pace. I cancelled the cable so the DCT700 is gone but if I return to Shaw I know now that the Pace can be reprogrammed. Thanks.

PS. I can still watch movies from the disconnected Pace. And when I turn it on it always shows me the current program on Sportsnet. Crazy machine.

Why aren't there any release notes for the 22.21 firmware from March 2011? The latest release notes are from over 2 years ago for the 13.54 firmware.

I'm not certain but Shaw may have terminated their relationship with Pace as there hasn't been any new Pace equipment offered in some time either.

Not sure if anyone can help me, thought I would try here before calling Shaw. Recently (started Sept 1st) CTV HD recordings are non-responsive, cant fast forward, rewind, and no sound! I tried un-plugging and re-plugging the box and that didn't solve the problem. Thanks for any recommendations.

Default Recording Question

Is it possible to save to disc or vhs tape from a pvr?
The store rep where I bought my Pace said no.
Has anyone tried this with any success?
Thanks in advance.

The only option is to stream your media to a different media type. You can't simply just save or transfer. Most content can be downloaded via the Internet as another option.

I have been in the disk diag before but it doesnt appear to let me in anymore. I get into the diag menu with a power followed by select. I left arrow to bring up the Diagnostics Main menu (1->25) and then press the skip back (curly arrow) - List - list - list - live buttons (hit each one in succession) and nothing. Anyone notice any firmware changes?
I am SW version DENA 26.69

Default Stutter Issue (Pace 775D with 1 TB Expander)

Hi -

I have 2 Pace 775Ds each with a 1TB expander. On one of the systems I get a lot of short pauses (stutters). When I watch live TV the problem is not so bad. Recorded programs are worse. But the absolute worse are live programs that I pause. When I resume after a pause, the stutters are much more frequent and they remain frequent even after i catch up to live TV. The issue improves dramatically if I change the channel and then change back.

I have tried power cycling to no avail. I called Shaw and they reset the system and power cycled and I thought there was some improvement but it was only temporary.

Is my next option to reformat? I'd prefer not to, but if it eliminates the problem I would do it.

Thanks for any advice.

My recordings are doing similar things the last two days. I'm wondering if my Pace Tahoe has had it. Maybe I should reboot first.

Default Better now

My PVR bad-recording woes seem to have stopped. I rebooted a couple of times and in an email exchange a Shaw customer service rep advised me to delete any problem recordings. He said that might help clean it up. I don't know how that helps, but maybe it played a role.
