Default Got The Pioneer 9120, now have questions

First off I am happy to finaly get a receiver that can decode Dolby True HD and DTS HD.

Haven't really had time to do much other than hook it up. I tried ONE HD DVD so far. went into setup on my HD-XA2 and set audio to AUTO for HDMI. My 9120 seems to be displaying PCM though even after I selected the Dolby THD track on the 300 HD DVD. Is that normal? does that mean the XA2 is still decoding and sending a 6 track LPCM signal to the receiver?

I checked the setup menu twice on the XA2 and there was no "bitstream" option for HDMI. Am I missing something? ALso the front display on the XA2 shows multi. Shouldn't both the receiver and the player be displaying Dolby true HD?

Did you update? The player doesn't come with the update.

DOH! How do I check the firmware version? and what is the best way to update? CD or plug a network cable to it?
