Wow excellent news for Lethbridge. Pretty bad that almost coming up on a year and CTV local news in Edmonton is still 4:3.

This may interest a few of you, but I will need some help interpreting this. I built a DBGH (no reflector or director) for my uncle just east of Taber Alberta along HWY 3 for his garage for his Coolsat 8000. I pointed it in a southeasternly direction towards Mt Royal in the Sweetgrass Hills in Montana and got the following.... 0003 KRTV 551000 KHz , 0003 CW 551000 KHz, 0007 CISA-HD 638500 KHz, 0013 CFCN-5 674500 KHz, 0021 KUSM-W 629000 KHz, 0021 KUSM-L 629000 KHz. All of these say no signal or the antenna settings has changed, but they did scan in. Is he SOL getting any lockable/viewable signal? Here is the tvfool for his location http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...8d175cbdb91041 . BTW the DBGH is hooked up to a Philips pre-amp I bought him from Princess Auto which is combined with another powered antenna pointed towards Lethbridge Alberta.

Personally, I'm kind of impressed you're able to sniff it out.
Here's the TVFool for K36DK (CISA translator)

Is there no signal strength meter?

Reading your frequencies, it appears CISA isn't on 36 anymore. I think you will have a better chance picking up KRTV on 27 as it is higher power. That is if you like watching CBS in Mountain time .

Unhappy Calgary - Harvest Hills

Hi everyone,

Picked up the CM 4221 from the Source and am just starting to play with it. So far, picked up CTV, CityTV and one other religious station, but no Global. Is Global TV broadcasting on channel 41, or am I just not picking it up?

My back window faces what will be 96th Avenue, and the airport is southeast of my home, so that could be causing me problems. I guess I should try mounting this thing in my attic or outside on my back wall, but if I can't get Global then it may be a deal breaker for me.

Here's my TVfool plot: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...de65ce1a657bc6

I would think that antenna should pick up all the digital channels. I don't live that much closer to the towers than you (Tuxedo), and I was picking up all of the digital stations from my basement with both a homemade antenna and a Terk. I have since put a rooftop antenna up as I have to split the signal to four tuners in my homemade PVR.

gopher73,

With 1 edge and 2 edge paths in your TV Fool report, Nose Hill is likely causing you grief.

You'll need to get that antenna outside. Throw it up on a satellite dish J-mount as high as possible pointing South West from your location.

Default Calgary CBC French channel 16 analog just went black

Has Hubert Lacroix anything to do with this ? (noticed at 5:20 pm; could have been earlier).

It's still out. This is not a reception problem so let's follow up in the station status thread:

Default Taber AB area

Here's a update to my post #1247. After some adjusting on this thursday afternoon, and a factory reset and scan thursday night around 7pm. I was able to lock in and view the following...... CICT-HD 635000 KHz *, CKAL-DT 655000 KHz, CW 551000 KHz, Citytv 683000 KHz *, KFBB-FOX 695000 KHz, CISA-HD 177000 KHz, CISA-HD 605000 KHz, KTVA-NBC 641000 KHz, CFCN-5 213000 KHz, KUSM-L 629000 KHz, and KUSM-W 629000 KHz. Those with the " * " are now (friday) not viewable/ locked in. BTW I disconnected the other powered antenna pointed towards Lethbridge.

Well now KTVA-NBC is now gone. As kid I did not remember a Great Falls Montana NBC station OTA, it was KRTV and KFBB. After a some googling it turns out that KTVA is out of Anchorage Alaska, but they are a CBS station? So I'm kinda confused, but it was nice while it was here.

I made a mistake it should have been KTVH-NBC not KTVA-NBC. Brain fart, couldn't read my own writing.
