Hey guys,
Im still running a 5.1 system and wish to go to 7.1 shortly...hopefully. However.....i have a full set of Energy C series speakers. The C300 fronts, the CC100 center, and my 2 rear speakers, are C100's... For the other 2 surround speakers, should they kinda match the C100's? like get another pair of them. or would the smaller C50's do? The specs are much different.... just wondering what others would recommend. Thanks much! |

I think a better question would be, what is the size of the room? Length/width/height?

Okay good, so the room is somewhat big enough to support 7.x sound.
Ultimately you would want all 7 speakers exactly the same model, but that doesn't always translate well into practicality and space requirements. Just based on what I read on their website, the C100 is a 5" driver and the C50 is a 4". And their lower end frequency responses are different. If you can get the C100's, why not do it? Is there really a significant cost difference? |

its not a price difference actually..
i got them at a stereo shop, i ahvent been there in a while (working nights right now) but i was just looking on FS's site, and it seems as this line is being discontinued for newer models maybe, as they only have the 50's and the 200's in stock... so if worst came to worst, i just wanted to make sure the 50's would fit in nice....
