Question Stacking of Components Ok?

I have a Denon 3808 avr. I noticed there are a lot of vents on top of the receiver. Would it be OK to stack a DVD player on top of the receiver or could this block the air flow and cause heat issues?

No it's not OK. It will over heat on you. Heat is a killer for electronics. Look in your owners manual, it will tell you the minimum distances it would like to see. It is probably 4".
