Default CBCHE vs CBCH2

Does anyone notice a big difference in picture quality between these two channels, or is it just me?
Also, when did CBCH2 arrive, as tonight is the first time I have seen it...
I guess I shouldn't complain too much, as the CBCHE channel seems to be the better of the two, even if the quality of the hockey being displayed, ain't so good, so far...

If you're talking about the game tonight on CBCH2, it's SD widescreen, not HD. If you press info, it states that games will be shown in either HD or SD widescreen, at the discretion of CBC.

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification!
I haven't griped too much about the "degradation" of ExpressVu's HD lineup so far, but after watching this, I was convinced it is as bad as people are saying

I was thinking the same thing. Tonight was a true example.

It was frustrating to see the Leafs game in crystal clear HD and the Sens game in blurry SD. I guess the only bright side was that Toronto fans were treated to excellent picture quality for each of the 4 goals Montreal scored and the one and only goal Toronto scored.

This has nothing to do with Bell. CBC only has 2 HD trucks, one for the East and one for the West. The only way to show the Ottawa game is in widescreen SD. Unless you want to annoy hundreds of thousands of Leaf fans instead or a few thousand Ottawa fans by showing the Leafs game in SD and the Ottawa game in HD.

CBC needs to get a third HD truck.

Funny, you should mention this..... I just wanted to say that I have never seen such a crisp beautiful transmission, as the Tor vs Mtr game on Saturday, on CBC HE. I mean it was incredible!
This also vindicates a thread ,that a forum member who looks/studies the "streams" has said, that CBC HE is the only channel on one transponder, transmiting at a 10-13 Mhz rate.

Just thought I would share.

Maybe we should write them letters requesting to see the Ottawa games in HD as well.

At the very least I saw it as a step in the right direction and would like to thank them for finally giving me/us a choice.

Up to then we had...let's see...the Leafs or...errr...the Leafs in HD.

When I wanted to watch the Sens...I had to flip to 208 and catch the local CBC SD feed...yuck.

SD-Widescreen may not be HD...but it sure beats the heck outa straight SD.

Now if we could get them to alternate a little between the two sites.

Default CBCH2 Missing Centre Channel

Tonight's Ottawa vs Chicago game is widescreen SD again. To make things worse there's no centre channel on the audio track.
