Default Raptors HD on Rogers

Do I have to subscribe to the regular raptors channel in order to get the Raps HD channel or can I just get the HD specialty pack which has the Raps HD without having to get the regular Raps channel to get Raps HD?

For the record, when I started with HD I got Raptors/NBA HD without subscribing to the SD channel. Now I have Digital VIP which includes Raptors /NBA SD. But I'm getting several channels on the HD specialty pack which I don't get in SD, namely the US timeshift channels and WGN.
