I've had a few difficulties with the mobile music player. I thought i would share and see if anyone else is having similar problems or if anyone knows what i'm doing wrong.
I've notice that the player won't play any wma files. The only way you can play these is buy going directly into your memory card from the menu and it will play one song at a time there and you can't use the FM transmitter from there either.
Another problem I have is that the majority of the mp3 files work, but not all of them. I get alot of music from p2p as I don't really want to buy music with the phone. Maybe I would have been better off with the Sony Walkman from rogers? Anyone else having these problems? Anyone find any solutions?

Check the format of the MP3's that won't work and then try using software to re-encode the mp3's in another format. My older player sometimes won't recognize newer LAME encoding while my newer player sometimes won't recognize old MP3 files that I encoded years ago.
If they are in WMA then reencode them into mp3 format.

That did help. The only way I could figure out how to get them back to mp3 is by burning the songs to a cd and the re ripping them. There has got to be a better way. Any suggestions as to what program to use. Also Is it possible to copy and watch a movie on my phone? What file format does it need to be in and what software should I use to convert a dvd?

I read over the entire manual and did not find the answer to my questions. The manual explains to you how to download movies from the mobile browser. I don't want to use the mobile browser as it isn't part of my package and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to download a movie when I already own enough movies. I have a 4gb card in my phone. 4gb should be big enough for a movie. (i'm aware some movies might be bigger than this.) Just copying the dvd to the card is not working. I got an incompatible file message when I tried to view the file with my phone.

Also, it does not explain to me in the manual how to convert a .wav file to .mp3. I shared the way I managed to convert .wav files to mp3 so I could listen to those songs with the phone. I still believe there is a less time consuming way to do this than the way I explained in a previous thread. I've shared that idea with people in person and it was helpful to them.

most programs to convert music file types to alternate file types work very similarly. I use 'Free Converter'
You tell it what file you want regardless of whether it's an mp3 or a wav and then choose the output type and bang, it goes.

In your case, load in the mp3 and then choose to encode as lame mp3. it should conver it no problem, you may just have to change the name of the file to something else while it's converting it.

(lol, i just realized that i posted this in the wrong forum a bit ago....curse haveing too many windows up)

I nee a hand with my LG Muziq phone's brower. I love the phone but when i try to download ringtones off of site, all it does is open them in the browser without actually giving me an option to save the file. One of the sites i wish to download these from is xbox.com/mobile. How could i make it so that i can download these files?

I have a quick question about the Muziq phone, and was wondering if anyone could answer it. The text messages I recieve, if they are more than a page, I am only able to view one of the pages. So I would be able to view 01/02, yet I can't seem to figure out how to view 02/02. Is there a special key I have to press? I'm with bell mobility, and plan on going in to ask them about it, unless there is a quick fix.
