Thanks for quick response I will give that a try. I do have the antenna on the 5900. You think that maybe the remote address is causing the issue? What purpose does the antenna serve if using the IR remote, so why leave on?

The chances are it is not the address but there is nothing wrong with choosing something other than the default. The Antenna does nothing if using IR.

Could it be that you have an LCD HD TV.?

No but I can see the TV from my chair here on the Nimiq 1 Satellite and thought it was an LCD.......lol

I think you will find it is the "Backlight" setting on the TV, that is causing the problem.

Have a search through this Forum, you will find lots of people with the same issues. I believe that lowering the settings can help. In theory, using the UHF should be the answer too.

Default Programming Bell Remote for Sony Surround

Guys,

Need to program Bell 6131 remote to work Sony Surround fx900w.
Went thru all the codes in Bell book, plus scanning manually for 15 mins.

Still Nothing

Also read some where it might be 728 for sony.

But when I try to program 728 it programs as 722. (checking flashes)

Whats up with that?

Thanks for your help.

Repeat of post #5
Quote:
If the code doesn't work for your device, use the random code search method mentioned in the first post
It may take some time
Don't press the up or down button too fast
Be patient, and it should work
If it doesn't, odds are the remote won't control your device

Default Does the Bell TV Remotes have the same flaw as Roger's remotes?

Does the Bell TV Remote have the same Volume "FLAW" as the Roger's remotes do? ie: When I press the volume increment up on my Roger's remote, the TV light illuminates once to indicate it's sending the volume command to the TV, but then the CBL light lights immediately after, thus its impossible to do a rapid volume increment without waiting for the CBL light to finnish.

I do happen to have an older EchoStar Dish remote, which a friend gave me and it seems to operate normally, so I was wondering also, can I re-program it so the "SAT" mode operates my Cable box? or can it only operate a cable box with "AUX"???

thanks in advance. p.s the model number is IR Remote 103602

Well, I managed to control my Cable Box with the Bell remote, but the remote was programmed in "AUX" and not "SAT" so it does not control the menu, guide, info, and Settings buttons to the Cable STB. Weird because the Cabe Box'es remote, can be re-programmed to control a Satelight STB and all the function buttons will continue to work.

Default Panasonic TCP58V10

Peter,

Try700, 765, or 685. 700 will turn on and cycle through the video inputs on my 54V10.
