I have a 15" laptop but I often wish that I had a bigger monitor. My laptop is about 2 years old IBM Thinkpad T41. I bought an Acer from Costco a few months ago for about $300 but I did not like the resolution on it. I need something with higher resolution. I will spend about $5-700 on it. I am not a gamer and I don't watch TV on a monitor. What would you recommend?
Thanks. |

Why dont you look at the Dell 24 widescreen. It has a resolution of 1920x1200 and has a few good features like a media card reader. It is usually on sale for around $650.

Hugh:
The highest resolution with the Acer was around 1280 by something and I could see pixels that were annoying. |

I would make sure that the video card in your T41 can support those high resolutions of 1900x1200 or 1440x900.
