The Scientific Atlanta non-PVR HD boxes have DVI connections I believe. Using a DVI<->HDMI adapter is easy. That is what I use to connect my PC (which has only DVI out) to my TV (which only has HDMI input). Of course you would then have to use a 2nd cable for sound.

The Pace 551 has HDMI and the SA3250HD has DVI which is the same video signal as HDMI.
BTW, a properly calibrated HDTV with component video connections works just as well and often doesn't have the handshake issues that quite a few people have with DVI or HDMI. If you do a search of this site for "pace hdmi", you'll find a number of threads outlining the various issues. Many people have an A/V Receiver, so a second cable (optical or coaxial) for digital sound to the AVR is often necessary anyway.

thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of buying rather than renting. If component is as good has hdmi maybe I'll go that way.
