Default Upgrading From Xbox 360 to Elite

Has anyone here traded in or sold their Xbox 360 Pro for an Elite? I was wondering if you notice a difference with the HDMI compared to Component.

I doubt you see a difference. Most people upgraded due to the increase HDD size and it's black. HDMI is nice as well.

I ordered via the Dell deal, won't receive until end of month.

I'd like to if EB would do some sort of trade in promo, but mainly to get the 120GB HDD. HDMI is nice for upscaling reasons, but I wouldn't be too 'dissappointed' if I didn't use the HDMI.

Question Save from my orig 20GB hdd to my elite's 120GB hdd?

I have an original Xbox 360 system and I have just recently purchased a new 360 elite system.
My question is; is there a way to save/move my saved info from my 20GB hard drive on to my elite consles 120GB Hard Drive?
Second does any one know off hand what format music is saved into on the hard drive?

Thanks,

adodge

You can get a transfer kit from Microsoft to move all your data from the 20GB HDD to the 120GB, but once moved, it's an irreversible process, so that data needs to stay on the 120GB. Not sure of the format the music is in though.

I believe the music is saved in the Windows Media audio (WMA) format.

whether there's a difference depends on your eyes and your screen. although i don't have both to make an A/B comparison, i do have a 360 component connection and a PS3 hdmi connection. i put Corpse Bride in each; there is alot more surface texture in the hdmi version than the component version.

adodge, did the transfer kit come with the eilte? i assumed it did... please let me know otherwise, as i've already agreed to sell me old 360 once my elite ships. i can only assume it did due to the quickness of your reply... however there is a link on the futureshop website on how to order the cable on the elite unit product page

Default Best way to upgrade to Elite

Hello there.

I have a XBOX 360 Premium console and want to upgrade to the Elite for the HDMI and 120G HDD.

Should I sell my unit privately or go through EB Games or something? What should I be able to get for my current 360 Premium? It is 1 year old, works great, and looks like new.

Thanks!

My 2 cents... call EB and find out what they'd give you.

Then check out finished auctions on ebay for the Premium. Go with whichever can grant you the greatest return (remember, if your feedback on ebay isn't high, you may not do as well as other auctions).

craigslist is another option rather than ebay.

Id sell it privately ... EB tends to lowball on the price they offer for games / consoles.
