hello....

does anyone know where i can find or order this htib from? i've tried searching the internet, but most places won't ship to canada. is there a retailer in canada that has it......

I couldn't find this system anywhere in Canada or anywhere on the web that was willing to ship to Canada, so I went with the only other 6.1 home theater in a box: the Kenwood HTB-506. I got it from etronics.com for $680 CDN tax and shipping included. Check out my review of the system:

Did you try getting the Kenwood HTB506 from Future Shop? $680 sounds a bit steep as the previous model (HTB505) was around $550 before taxes....probably even cheaper elsewhere.

Actually, FutureShop doesn't even yet carry the HTB-506, as they've just finished selling the discontinued HTB-505. The HTB-505 was $549/599 only during the last couple of months at FutureShop because they knew it was going to be replaced by the HTB-506. However, when the HTB-505 came out summer 2002, I was looking at buying it from FutureShop at $799! So, I'm certain that when FutureShop starts selling the HTB-506, their price will be as steep as it was for the HTB-505, i.e. in the 749-799 range. Considering that, in my opinion, I got a heck of a deal!
