Default CBC HD Timeshifting

Is any provider yet offering CBC HD timeshifting? it will be handy this coming season for hockey (as there may be multiple HD games at once) and also tonight for example it would of been awesome to catch the late show of Harry Potter in HD.

I have rogers, and as of yet rogers just offers CBC Toronto or Ottawa HD.

Thanks

For HNIC, now that they've got a mobile HD unit (they got it around the second half of the season last year) you'll be able to get both the East and West games on 128 (Rogers, Ottawa). As for true time-shifting (like CBC Vancouver in high-def) I haven't heard anything. An 8300-HD PVR may be your best option to record something for later viewing.

Bell ExpressVu has been promising CBC West HD since April. Star Choice has the Toronto feed. So, for the time being, CBC Toronto is among all the choices.

I doubt they'll be doing multiple HD games at once this regular season. Double-headers - sure. Playoffs is another story.

Last season BEV added CBC HD Vancouver temporarily for Canucks playoff games.

Agreed we likely won't see simultaneous HD games for early HNIC timeslot any time soon. But we could hope for SD widescreen for some of the extra early games, which would still call for another HD feed... from Ottawa or Montreal. But the next HD feed we get would surely be Vancouver.

Since we have FOX, ABC, NBC & CBS all in HD from the west coast, theres no reason we should not have CBCW HD.

To the best of my knowledge, CBC has yet to show any regional games in WS yet. It has been scheduled a few times and then they decided to put the national (HD) game on the local digital channel instead.

I get both CBCHD-East and CBCHD-West. CFL games are on both at the same time as they show the games live. I know it's not hockey but I am sure it would work the same way.

Yes, CBC does show some games in WS nationally. My comment is that to the best of my knowledge they haven't shown any regional games (i.e. games that are only shown on the local stations) in WS or HD.
