Default Peter Moore (head of Xbox division) Leaves Microsoft

I would love to know what is going inside Microsoft. The head of the Xbox division is leaving. Going to EA of all places. Will be interesting to see him working with Sony and MS.

Could this be related to the 1 billion dollar hit for extending the warranty?

Not that anything is wrong with EA. I just found it kind of suprising since he will be now working with all console makers after going head to head against Sony for the last couple of years.

In my eyes, I also believe this to be a somewhat of a step down from a responsibility perspective.

Old Role Responsibilities
- Xbox Console
- Microsoft Game Studios
- Games for Windows
- Xbox Live

New Responsibilities
- EA Sports Games

I know that EA is huge but Moore will only be leading up the EA Sports division. However, I would imagine that would the largest and most profitable of the new EA divisions.

I wonder if his leaving and MS XBox exec Robbie Bach's cashout of MS stock are related:

And, guess who's replacing him? The former president of EA, Don Mattrick. Talk about a tight industry.
