Have just ordered a Sonicview 8000HD FTA receiver for my motorhome. Can anyone tell me if this receiver will work with, or is compatible with, the King Dome Trac-King In-Motion Satellite System intalled on my 2007 motorhome?
Or do I need to buy a separate satellite dish and tri-pod? Thanks |

To pick up any true FTA HD signals I would not think that your Dish would be large enough.
I think a minimum of 60cm would be needed. Nimiq 1 |

No, according to the website it will not work for FTA signals.

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with Multistar elliptical dish 30" x 33 " (E85 model) ? I want to receive IA5 (97 W), as a minimum. I am also subscribing to BEV (91 W only) but I prefer to have just one dish. Would a regular 33" or 36dish be good enough for both these satellites ? I'm in Whitby, 40 km east of Toronto. Thanks. |

The elliptical may work for the stronger TP's on 97w but you won't get consistent signal quality across all of them.
I understand wanting to go to one dish, and given the spacing between 91w and 97w it will work. However, you'll have compromised performance. That is unless you get a T90 toroidal which itself would occupy the space of two separate dishes! |
