Default D-sub 15 pin??

I just bought a ViewSonic PJ506D SVGA DLP Projector from TigerDirect and the website says that it will accept component video with a D-sub 15 pin. What is a "D-sub 15 pin" and how do I get the proper cables to use my component video??

Thanks,

J

Hi!

That's one of the way to call a VGA-like connector...

The following thread should help you find what you're looking for:

The PJ has a D-sub 15 pin connector (VGA, the familiar 3 rows of pins). You can buy a cable as shown in Post #4 or use a regular YPbPr (component) cable and a small adapter. Most online stores sell the adapter calling it various names but look for 3-RCA to RGB or VGA.

I'd think a longer VGA cable with an adapter at the far end from the pj would be more esthetically pleasing.
