Default Sirius to lose NHL broadcasts

Hey Everyone,

I heard that Sirius is loosing NHL for next year because XM snapped up a multi- year contract. They better do something to keep their Canadian subs because I am thinking of switching to XM. XM also has a channel dedicated to hockey.

On another note, does anyone know if Sirius and XM is still merging? Thanks!

This has been known for a long time. XM has been promoting this on 204 all season. 204 is one of the reasons I prefer XM.
Yes, XM and Sirius are still trying to get approval to merge.

Default XM scoreboard

Hey Hockey,

Do you know, on XM's scoreboard, do they show scores across the screen?

Actually, I have to correct my self. The display reads like this:
NHL Play by Play 206
CAL 7 EDM 0

I don't know where I got Center Ice from.

Just by curiosity, are Habs and Sens games in french included in the new XM NHL package? Radio-Canada(on the radio side) tried to obtain the french radio rights for the Canadiens without success. If they were succesfull, could they broadcast Habs games in french on Sirius?

I don't know if their are games broadcast in french; however, I doubt that they would appear on Sirius, since XM is the exclusive satellite radio distributor of the NHL.

I don't think XM has any of the games in French, alas.

XM has exclusive rights to the NHL so Sirius can't broadcast any of their games. XM also has major league baseball exclusively.

Sirius has the NFL and CFL exclusively.

If I were a basketball fan I might know who has the NBA - I'm guessing Sirius.

In French: XM broadcast the Habs and Sens on XM172. If both are playing at the same time, the Habs game take precedence in French.
