I am runiing a 9200, with sw44 switch. Trying to get signal better, I am on transponder 13 and sat.91, I can only get 55%. If I go through all of the transponders the even ones give me 80% + and the odd ones 50-60%. Could it be my switch or lnb?
Thanks |

probably just you
they are tricky to aim, if you dont have the right tools, you could be there for a while It could be the switch, the cable, the LNB, the power inserter... Was the dish already aimed/mounted, or did you mount it yourself? |

are there trees in the way, that are now getting leaves?
check the connectors if possible it is possible too that the dish needs reallignment |

I think alignment and obstructions would affect either polarity somewhat equally.
That said, 1 polarity of the switch or LNB would be highly suspect. Try swapping the 2 LNB lines to the switch and see if the problem changes to the other polarity. |

or a shorted connector, or a connector with water damage
tons of possibilities when trying to diagnose over a forum 9200's are picky enough on their own, so i would suggest calling a professional instead of wasting your time trying to figure out what the issue is so every even transponder is over at least 80% ? try ARR's suggestions if you can access the dish switch |

I switched Lnb's around and everything on 91 sat is good, everything on 82 is 40%-0, I did a check switch and everything checked out good exept for line 2 on 82, said reception is poor.

So you started with 1 bad polarity on 91 and after switching LNB's you now have 1 bad polarity on 82.
That pretty much says the switch wasn't the problem. I presume you left the cables in position, so that basically says 1/2 the LNB is bad. Not that you need to, but transposing the 2 82 cables on the switch OR LNB and moving the problem to the other polarity would confirm it. Good job and it looks like I had it 1/2 right. I've got 19 LNB's across 10 dishes here with 9 different switches. It happens on occasion. |
