High School Musical Ice Tour comes to Canada

Let me just say that this will get squeals of delight among my daughter and friends.


Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour will come to Toronto, London, Ottawa and Hamilton, Ontario; and Winnipeg, Manitoba; this winter, it was announced today.

Tickets for the Canadian dates will go on sale at www.highschoolmusicaltheicetour.com on Saturday, April 28.

The ice tour will feature a live fusion of songs, dance and team-spirited fun to celebrate the music of the original Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel movie, and its sequel "High School Musical 2," which is set to debut on the Channel this summer.

The global tour, comprised of three companies, is expected to play more than 100 cities in its first year alone, including the worldwide premiere at Madison Square Garden (on Sept. 29 and 30) and the Staples Center in Los Angeles (on Oct. 5). The tour will hit the Rogers Centre in Toronto Dec. 21 - 30. In 2008 it will play in Winnipeg, Feb. 22 - 24; London, Feb. 29 - March 2; Ottawa, March 7 - 9; and Hamilton, March 12 - 16, in addition to cities in Europe and Mexico.
