Nice. We listen to Cinemagic, Hitlist, and VOX in the car. Will be a nice addition to the home and office units.

Hugh, in the article off of the front page, it states:
Quote:
KISS (21) is currently not on XM Canada and is also not commercial free. Nashville (11) is not listed as a missing channel; it too is not commercial free. Last edited by bgclarke; 2007-03-12 at 01:09 PM. |

Still no Radio Disney and they wonder why they are on the losing end of the competition!

The lack of Radio Disney is a real head scratcher. I assume it must be a contractual thing. Radio Disney is a big deal in our house but maybe we're just the very small minority??

I don't think it's a contractual thing. I think it's a cost thing. When I have spoken with XM execs in the past about this, it was implied that cost is a factor in what channels are added. Given that this conversation was in direct relation to Radio Disney and reading between the lines, I drew the conclusion that it would cost them too much to add this channel. Considering the various comments on XM Canada's financial condition, I think that they are plain and simply cheaping out. Once again, they believe that injecting money into promotional campaigns, such as partnering with Aeroplan and promoting the now defunct Mike Bullard, will stand them better than simply adding quality channels.

On the first page, XMPR #133 is listed as one of the US stations we don't get in Canada. Either it's being dropped (which I don't see in your article or the XM Canada release) or there's a mistake.
And on your channel list on the second page, WLW shows up, and I don't think it's mentioned as being added. |

I will finally have
Cinemagic: Relive movie moments that was one of the few station I listen on-line because it was not available otherwise. That counters the XM172 (french sport) lay off that was announce today |

Not anymore it isn't. I've checked my radio (which used to have XMPR as a preset) and there is no Channel #133 anymore. It's also not listed on the channel guide. Too bad - I quite liked to listen to that channel. |
