I have a question for the windows xp experts here. I have several computers that I am supporting and I have applied the windows xp patches for the difference in day light saving this year. The patches were successfully installed, but one computer that is running windows xp home edition (an earlier version that has all of the patches including service pack 2) did not change the time (either for the new time change or even the time change that occured on Sunday April 1, 2007 as was the original day light saving time). Could someone please explain why the time change did not occur as it should (even with all the latest patches installed)?

I'm assuming that the computer is set properly to change to DST and not simply set to manually change in the control panel? I assume you've rebooted the computer. See also:
