struttgart, all timers are NBR timers unless it is specifically created as a "Manual Timer". Do you mean VuPass timers? My timers are all regular NBR timers set by selecting the program from the Guide and they are working fine with the new firmware. I haven't experienced any problems.

Mine are timers by selecting on them from the guide and setting them to record new episodes only. They are constantly dissappearing on me ever since the update. At least I know it is just me having this problem.

I think that will always happen. Remember, they are changing channels on us in mid-stream. I always use FF to get over the hump then skip for the remainer of the show.

Default SD Stuttering too! Hardrive check Request.

Quote:
I had the stuttering issue last year and waited till May to have it fixed... If it stays someone's gonna get an earful at BEV!
Watched last night's (11 March) Battlestar Galactica this morning and, to my shock , I noticed a terrible amount of video stuttering, and I have never seen this on recorded SD material. I am even more agitated about all this now!

I can't believe that it's a simple as the Maxtor Drives (0x6102), which is what I have, verses Western Digital (0x6132), however, I am wondering if those currently experiencing stuttering can verify their hardrive and report on it? I'm really curious if any Western Digital drives are experiencing this problem?

To add ammunition when you call.

I recorded BSG at 10pm on space.
No stuttering on WD drive.

I've seen this also. The new, magic, hands-free "auto-skip-forward-to-Live-TV" feature.

Never saw this prior to V149.

The hard drive info is in the "Counters" section. Menu -> System Setup -> Diagnostics -> Counters, then page down a few times.

Hmm, mine is listed as 0x6032.

That doesn't match either number listed above.

All of my timers worked fine after the upgrade. However, after the time change, a few of the timers reported incorrect events and some of the timers set to kick of on Monday were not there. Only after I reconfirmed some incorrect event timers did the other missing timers show up.

Default Update on stuttering hardrives...

Quote:
I too have a WD drive and I too have returned to the dark days of playback stuttering.
Whoops, before I posed the request, GumbyDan had earlier reported that he is experiencing the dreaded stuttering effect on his WD drive. Q has confirmed that he has the WD drive and, thankfully, for him, does not have video stuttering.

Let's keep these coming in so we can all of us get a clearer idea about what's happening here. I'd rather have billing or other problems than this maddening and wearisome concern!

Sorry for the play on words notsure, but I am not sure whether you have a Maxtor, WD, or another hardrive. Anyone else comment on this one?

Default New Behaviour

When watching a recorded show, the little timer window appears for an upcoming event.

I never noticed this before the V149 update.

I like it.

The skipping to live is getting ridiculously annoying.

Default No stuttering anymore!

I haven't had the stuttering issue since last week's recording of Lost.

I'm a happy camper.
