I just connected my replacement unit. I notice this drive is 0x6122. My other unit had 0x6102. Any of you out there have this drive and do you have the same problems (pause/stutter, skip to live)?

I'm recording shows as we speak and will test it all weekend but seems fine until now (no skip to live, no pause/stutter)

Well it's been a week and no problems to speak of....still crossing my fingers.(Unless it's been fixed for everyone as well).

I tried to join the Sens game last night about 2 hours in. I was just doing FFx4 and 15, and it would drop out to live feed. VERY frustrating. Moreover, it started to reboot randomly every few minutes (or up to an hour) after that and it has *never* rebooted (this is my fourth 9200 unit, so I know it very well).

I just did a hard reboot (unplug for 30+ seconds) and all seems to be OK again.

It is the software that is the problem. I had my 9200 replaced and it does the same thing.

Indeed, the problem reappeared almost immediately after I wrote the note... We had it on 851 (Sportsnet hd) and it was rebooting every 10-15 minutes. Once I switched over to another channel, it was fine. Watched about 8 hours of TV yesterday between golf, survivor and sopranos, all without a reboot. Had it on "The Score" this morning - reboots again.

Angry 9200 problems

I am now on my third 9200 and it is faulty too. I have had stuttering problems and terrible sound/picture sync. Also jumping to live while watching recorded. The big problem I have had with my last two units is that when I fast forward through a long HD recording (hockey game) it suddenly jumps to the start. I could be zipping forward to get to the next period and suddenly it goes back to the start and each time I try to FF to my previous place, it keeps jumping back to the start, so it makes watching the program impossible unless I watch it all again without FF, which is totally impractical. This is especially annoying at playoff time!!!

A Bell tech support guy said that the hard drive is not capable of keeping up with the FF so skips to the start. In other words, it's normal to not be able to watch your program if you should happen to use the FF function beyond 4X speed. Ridiculous!

Does anyone else have this problem and is there a resolution?

I noticed this jumping to front as well. If I did it again though it would be fine. I don't have any other stuttering or sync issues though.

I have a similar problem, but only on the CBC hockey games on Channel 802. When I go to rewind whatever is in the one hour buffer, the picture keeps freezing every 10 minutes back or so, whether I go slow or fast. This problem and your problem of jumping back to the start have all been caused by v149. All we can do is wait for v150 and hope that it won't make things worse in other areas.

My hockey games jump to live at anything faster than 15x FF, consistently. This is a NEW problem with V149. They are aware of it, and will be giving me a credit for all of the months this V149 is being used. Once they fix the problem, I will collect my credit. I have been assured that the very least I will get is the cost of a rental unit, plus the $10 HD fee per month. So, $30 per month that V149 is in use. I suggest EVERYONE call in and demand the same credit, per month of fubar'd service, to cost Bell some money, and get them in gear in terms of getting this fixed.

jb1,

Words of advice. Get your credits NOW while the problem is happening. Trying to get back credits after the problem is fixed is difficult. After the fact, it seems they tend to have "no record" of you ever calling in.

I too have a 0x6122 since about two months. No problems that you speak of.

Does anyone have any idea when the new fw is coming out? This is now making me soo frustrated. I tried to watch the 2 hours of Lost last night and the stuttering was so bad, I just went and downloaded them.

I am really really friggin tired of this.
