Does anyone know what code to enter so that one can use the Samsung LCD remote to send needed IR signals to the Moto STBs? The manual says 064 but that does not seem to work nor does any of the General Instrument codes.

You'd be better off going the other way around. Programme the STB remote to control the TV. Very few TV remotes are any good for controlling STBs. The codes for the Samsung TVs should be in the operating manual for the STB remotes.

Thanks 57 but there are many things we use that will not be recognized. Of course, I could do much better with a Harmony remote but that's mucho $$$. Still think I need the Samsung's code. Anyone else have an idea?

Hey there Bubba did you ever find a code to control the Motorola box with the Samsung remote? I just bought the LNT-4061 and love the tv but hate that I have to use 2 remotes. I tried using the Motorola remote to control the tv but even changing the volume sucks cuz you can't hold down the button you have to hit it repeatedly.

Just as 57 says, get yourself a Harmony remote and life will be simpler. Watch the deals forum on this board for the lowest prices. I got a Harmony 880 three weeks ago from Dell and I'm really happy with it. Dell offered the lowest price at that time (that I could find). Of course you don't need to get the more expensive 880. I just wanted the 880's charging cradle so that the remote has a "home". No more hunting under the sofa for it...

Just be careful. I purchased the 880 and had to return it because my components are seperated by several feet and kept 'missing'. I need to get an RF remote (like the 890) but have trouble justifying the cost.

Well, so far, nobody seems to know the codes. I can use the Shaw remote for rudimentary things but not satisfied. Anyone? Please?

Hey Bubba, after much research and queries to the Future shop dude i bought my Sammy off, I still hadn't gotten the codes... so I bought the 880 and it works GREAT! Got it for a steal on E-bay too... 140 shipping included.
